This is our November bazaar that requires tremendous support in these areas:

• Marketing & Promotions – Help get the word out about the Market by working with our Development and Communications staff on catchy wording for emails, social media, online event calendars, and on additional ways to inform the DMV community about our event. 

• Vendor Assistant – Work with our Chair to help manage vendors leading up to the event and throughout the event. This includes contracting vendors for their logos, preparing vendor folders with information about their booth, meals, sales, and closeout. 

• On-Site Volunteer Manager – Help with volunteer check-in and roles throughout the weekend. Ensure that volunteer slots are covered by parents and students for the entire duration of the event. 

• Tiger Bakery Coordinator – Gather baked goods donations, wrap them for sale, coordinate display, and manage sales during the event. 

• Activity Coordinator – NEW ROLE! Help create and promote additional seasonal activities to take place in Connelly Hall on the Saturday of the event. 

• Grill & Concessions Coordinator – Stock concessions and help recruit volunteers to make sure this site is ready to feed the shoppers on Saturday. (This has typically been a major Fathers’ Club volunteer event.) 

• General Volunteer – Assist with needs as they arise. 

This is the primary fundraising and community building event each year, and is typically held in March or April. Planning begins in October, and there are many jobs big and small! 

• Lead a Gala Committee - The primary responsibilities of Gala Chairs are to support the smooth execution of the Gala and assist as the driving force behind the event, leading the committee in achieving predetermined goals, raising awareness, and creating memorable experiences for attendees.  

• Gala Volunteer – Here are all of the different committees you can be a part of: 

Advertising: Help solicit businesses for advertising in the Gala program. November-December (before Christmas Break)  

Auction Software: Input auction data into the system for bidding. The time commitment is limited to the few weeks leading up to the Gala. Work done by February 1  

Fund-a-Tiger: Work with the Development team to cultivate and solicit support for the raise-the-paddle for scholarships.  This could also include a targeted reception for sponsors in February. Work is done in January through the Gala  

Live Auction: Help solicit live auction items that will be auctioned off on stage on the night of the Gala. Work done by February 1 

Raffle: Promote the raffle within and outside of the Holy Child community, and sell tickets. Also help coordinate student incentives for ticket sales. 

Silent Auction: Help curate and procure an array of offerings for every wallet and interest, including class baskets. Most work done by February 1 

Silent Auction Décor: Glam up our silent auction displays to ensure they are ready for bidding!  

Sponsorships: Write sponsorship letters, coordinate past sponsor retention and new sponsor outreach, and ensure that all sponsor benefits are met. November-December (before Christmas Break)
