First Day of School

The first day of school is a beloved tradition filled with laughter, fun, lots of color, and excitement!  The senior class decorates the campus in their assigned color and welcomes all middle school and upper school students to campus to kick off the academic year.

Upon entering Holy Child, every student and faculty member is assigned to either the Blue or the Gold team.  The two teams fight to hoist the Blue/Gold Trophy at the end of the school year by competing in the annual flag football game, attending and participating in different school events, and more.

Spirit Week

Sprit Week is a week-long competition among the whole school that culminates in Color Day! The week starts with a day of service to our community followed by some healthy competition. Students receive points for the best costumes, the Connelly Quiz, and more!

Mother/Daughter May Crowning

A morning in May is dedicated to honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary. The school mothers and daughters come together to participate in a prayer service and the crowning of Mary followed by a breakfast.

Ring Day & Prom

Ring Day is a long-standing tradition bridging Holy Child’s current juniors with the women of Holy Child’s past. An intimate ceremony is hosted in the school’s chapel where the juniors receive their school ring from their senior ring sister. Immediately following the ring ceremony, the seniors host a celebration for the juniors filled with delicious food, lots of fun, and photos. That evening, the junior class returns the favor by hosting prom! The juniors pick the theme, decorations, and more to be sure their senior sisters have the best senior prom imaginable.

In the fall, middle school students come together to produce a musical performances. They have performed James and the Giant Peach Jr. and The Little Mermaid Jr. In the spring, the upper school student showcase musicals like Cats, The Wizard of Oz, and Joseph and the Amazing Dream Coat.

Clubs and Organizations

Over the years, our groups have included everything from Best Buddies to the newly founded Club USA.

Leadership in Action

Lead through many clubs, on an athletic team, as a member of Student Council, or as part of our Host/Ambassador Program.

Spiritual Life

Creative prayer and lively worship are central to our life as a community. “Singing is praying twice,” epitomizes how we approach our life of faith at Holy Child.

Service is a way of life, part of the tapestry of the rich experience here. Our students routinely reach out to the wider community to help make a difference.

As an all-girls’ school, we know intimately that the emotional, the spiritual, and the academic are all intertwined in the success of any student.
