Few members of the Holy Child community embody Cornelia Connelly’s call to live a life of “Actions not Words” the way Sr. Connie Craig, one of the school’s earliest teachers and still one of its greatest supporters, does. A member of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus since 1959, Sr. Connie has engaged generations of Holy Child students through thoughtful and dynamic teaching. When alumnae talk about what made their Holy Child education special, nearly all point to Sr. Connie’s classroom, using words like “dedication,” “energy,” “commitment,” and “joy” to describe how she captured the attention and imagination of all her students.
The Sr. Connie Craig Endowment is a continuing, sustainable commitment to the future of Holy Child. This endowment endorses Sister Connie's contributions and emphasizes the community’s determination to extend the legacy she has established. It will also support the next generation of women of faith and action by granting the opportunity for a Holy Child education through scholarship.
