Black History Month
Holy Child celebrated Black History Month throughout the month of February. The community honored the strong women who have helped pave the way for so many of our students through our “Black Women of Excellence” theme. Below are some of the activities we held on campus. Additionally, students were educated on various black women achievements through morning announcements and of course, in the classroom.
The Black Women of Excellence Speaker Series welcomed two Holy Child mothers to speak to students about hard work, studying, respecting others and being respected, and following a goal. Their individual presentations included a brief description of their story, what do they do for a living, how their work impacts others, and how to achieve success. It was a wonderful way to honor strong women in the community!
