Dear Holy Child Alumnae,

I have been inspired by the ongoing activism and conversation that has been led by Holy Child Alumnae. This past year has given us all some much needed time for reflection – and our reflection must now translate into action.

The Visual and Performing Arts Department at Holy Child is constantly evolving and updating our curriculum and programming to incorporate relevant topics of social justice and global learning in the arts. The arts allow students to express themselves through different mediums such as visual art, music, dance, and theater. It is our responsibility to connect these themes rather than viewing them as mutually exclusive, and to give our students the tools to enter the world as culturally informed young women.

Let’s continue to have the difficult conversations, further educate ourselves, and live by our motto - Actions, not Words.

Thank you so much for your time and support of the arts at Holy Child. I am looking forward to this upcoming school year and welcome you back to campus for any of our arts events. We appreciate you all so much and are so grateful for all of the shared memories and more to come!
