Description & Details:
Connelly School of the Holy Child is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and dynamic Events and Parent Engagement Manager to foster community engagement, plan impactful events, and strengthen relationships with parents and families. This individual will play a critical role in creating an inclusive, supportive, and vibrant school community for our families past and present. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning or fundraising, a passion for education, and a commitment to enhancing parent involvement in the life of the school.
Key responsibilities:
- Supports the Holy Child Parents’ Association and Subcommittees in collaboration with the School Division Heads and Head of Development. Related tasks are performed in conjunction with volunteers and include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling meetings and coordinating logistics
- Collaborating with Committee leads to establish agendas
- Working with the treasurer to process payments and volunteer reimbursements
- Ensuring the pipeline of volunteers for positions is reviewed and full
- Creating materials and messaging in conjunction with the Communications Department to support the programs and events
- Memorializing the processes to ensure continuity
- Working with internal and external contacts to execute HCPA events
- Overseeing all details the day-of events
· Proactively promotes volunteerism within our parent community by reaching out to a wide variety of parents through personal outreach, new parent onboarding and working closely with Class representatives to ensure the pipeline for volunteer committees is full and current year needs are met.
· Serves as the primary point of contact for the Spring Gala & Auction and oversees all event-related fundraising to meet budgeted goals
· Manages and oversees the event logistics for all Development Department events
· This individual will have an active presence on campus to ensure they may accurately represent how Holy Child is living out the mission of building the next generation of women of Actions Not Words.

Preferred Qualifications:

Director of Facilities
Description
We are seeking an experienced Director of Facilities to oversee and manage all of Connelly School of the Holy Child's physical assets, including campus maintenance, construction projects, and operational processes. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will serve as the chief advisor on all matters related to facilities, construction management, and campus planning. The Director of Facilities will ensure that the school’s physical infrastructure aligns with its strategic goals and operational health, while maintaining a focus on safety, efficiency, and high-quality execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the chief advisor to the Head of Finance on construction management, facilities maintenance, campus planning, ongoing projects and future needs.
- Collaborate with the Head of School, Head of Finance and the Head of Innovation/Strategy to ensure clear communication regarding the operational health of the institution and the role of physical assets in supporting the school’s goals.
- Partner with the Information Technology Department to develop and implement new technology that improves the efficiency of operational plans and policies that align with the school’s academic and strategic goals.
- Maintain complete transparency to all stakeholders concerning project milestones, identify potential obstacles, and assess alternatives for effective decision-making.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external contractors, vendors, and local authorities, ensuring seamless coordination for projects, compliance, and external relations.
- Maintain the integrity of the school’s physical assets by overseeing planning renewal and general maintenance repair.
- Work with Operations to oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of the school’s campus, fleet management, campus facilities, and common areas.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts, aligning with sustainability goals while maintaining sanitary standards across campus.
- Manage all operating and capital budgets, review bids, drawings, construction work, and invoices to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and at a high level of quality and efficiency.
- Write grants to win financial awards that will supplement and support our existing budget.
- Identify, measure, and manage insurable risks and hazards that optimize facility operations and ensure the safety of all community members.
- Collaborate with local/state compliance officials to maintain the proper functioning of life/safety systems, including fire alarms and emergency notifications.
- Ensure full compliance with environmental health & safety regulations and interface with various local, state, and federal agencies.
- Additional duties include overseeing trees and landscaping of the school grounds, yearly outdoor initiatives, maintenance of the School’s Athletic Center.
- Work closely with the Director of Operations, and event organizers to ensure that space is optimized, timelines are met, events are executed efficiently to maximize resources and minimize cost.
- Oversee and manage event logistics, including setup and tear down for school functions, special events, and community gatherings.
- Ensure the timely completion of deferred maintenance projects to avoid long-term issues and disruptions to school operations.
- Monitor and track the condition of buildings, systems, and equipment, addressing potential concerns before they become critical.
- Develop and train all facilities personnel in handling emergency response protocols and safety regulations to include emergencies such as loss of heat, power outages, leaks, or other facility-related issues.
- Foster a collaborative environment that focuses on safety, explementary service and promoting professional development within the team, by ensuring the establishment of goals yearly, and performance reviews.
Requirements

Math Teacher
Description
Connelly School of the Holy Child is a Catholic, college preparatory school, committed to the intellectual, spiritual, artistic, physical, and social development of young women in grades 6 through 12. The school emphasizes academic challenge, joy of learning, and education of well-rounded women of faith and action.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching high school level math courses (Alg. I, Alg. II and Trigonometry, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Quantitative Literacy, Statistics)
- Providing an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of young women
- Integrating technology effectively into classroom practices
- Participating in the school community with other duties as assigned
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Math department as well as with colleagues from additional departments to align teaching practices
- Pursuing professional development opportunities to continually grow as a Math teacher in order to enhance student learning
- Responding to the needs of Holy Child, including service learning, advisory program, assigned supervision and other duties as assigned
- An active commitment to enhancing our school community through involvement with committees and in student life activities
- Effective and consistent communication with students, parents, staff, and community
- Developing, selecting, and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of a diverse population

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics or related field required, with teaching experience in various levels of secondary education 6-12. Master’s Degree preferred; MSDE certification preferred
- Successful math teaching experience at the high school grade levels
- Familiarity with innovative instructional strategies such as building thinking classrooms and visible thinking strategies

Religion Teacher
A Holy Child Religion Teacher will teach five sections of Religion, based in the Roman Catholic Tradition, following the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Curriculum Framework for high school students in grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a personal commitment to his/her Catholic faith, providing a witness to students of a life of faith, and love of God and neighbor. Additionally, the ideal candidate must be familiar with the philosophical and theological foundations of the Catholic intellectual tradition and be able to communicate a Catholic worldview creatively and effectively to students. The candidate must possess a desire to lead students to encounter Jesus Christ using best practices in pedagogy, based in a Christian anthropology and in the charism of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus.

Promoting a Culture of Academic Excellence:
- Create lesson plans that align with the Holy Child’s methods of teaching, which are learner based.
- Deliver a balanced program of instruction that incorporates direct instruction, guided instruction, individual/ group practice, demonstration, and discovery.
- Plan individual and group instruction that includes lecture, discussion, and hands-on activities.
- Administer assessments (both formal and informal) to determine if instructional objectives are being met.
- Use assessment data to differentiate instruction to assure that the diverse needs of all students are met.
- Assign classwork and homework that supports the lesson's objective and reinforces the learning process.
- Establish classroom procedures that optimize instructional time.
- Create and enforce rules that are clear and foster an atmosphere in which all can thrive.
- Set high expectations for achievement.
- Maintain a grade book that reflects students’ progress on a variety of formative and summative assessments.
- Monitor students’ grades and communicate status to parents and administration.
- Inform students and parents of assignments/projects and provide detailed written instructions, rubrics, and due dates.
- Routinely post up-to-date information (homework, projects and grades) to the school’s grade book portal.
- Use the portal, emails, notes, and phone calls to inform parents if a student is not making adequate academic or behavioral progress.
- Hold conferences with parents if students need academic or behavioral intervention
- Produce quarterly progress reports and report cards.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Theology/Religious Studies
- 3-5 years of Catholic high school teaching experience, preferred
- Practicing Catholic in good standing, required
- Teaching credential, preferred
