Alumna of the Year
This year’s Distinguished Alumna of the Year is Dr. Margot Culotta-Norton '71. For more than 38 years, Margot has had a profound and humanizing effect on the dental profession by extolling through action two heartfelt ideals: service and community. She was one of the founding members of the Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists and was the first woman President of the USA Section of the 89-year old International College of Dentists, a worldwide dental honor organization which recognizes and promotes excellence in leadership with an emphasis on service, oral health needs and education throughout the world.
The first Distinguished Alumna of the Year Award was presented to Patricia White Radle ’65 in 1987. Since then, the Award has been given annually to a Holy Child alumna for outstanding service to the community, for fortitude, and a commitment to improving the quality of life of others, and for exemplifying the ideals and character of Connelly School of the Holy Child.
