Alumna of the Year

In 1987 the first Distinguished Alumna of the Year Award was presented to Patricia White Radle, class of 1965.  Since then, every year, the Award has been given to a Holy Child alumna for outstanding service to the community, for fortitude and commitment to improving the quality of life of others and for exemplifying the ideals and character of Connelly School of the Holy Child.

Alumnae are encouraged to nominate a candidate for The Distinguished Alumna of the Year Award.  The recipient is selected by the Alumnae Council and approved by the Head of School.

The recipient will be awarded at the Alumnae Reunion Dinner in April. If you wish to nominate an alumna to receive a Distinguished Alumna of the Year Award, please submit your suggestion on the form below.

2017 Alumna of the Year

This year’s Distinguished Alumna of the Year is Dr. Margot Culotta-Norton '71.  For more than 38 years, Margot has had a profound and humanizing effect on the dental profession by extolling through action two heartfelt ideals: service and community.  She was one of the founding members of the Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists and was the first woman President of the USA Section of the 89-year old International College of Dentists, a worldwide dental honor organization which recognizes and promotes excellence in leadership with an emphasis on service, oral health needs and education throughout the world.

Alumnae Giving

One of the ways you can show your appreciation for the education you received at Holy Child is by making a gift to The Fund for Holy Child. Alumnae participation in the annual fund is a vital indicator of the value of that unique education. All gifts, no matter the amount, are deeply appreciated. You can even challenge your classmates!

Please consider joining our Head of School Society with a gift of $1,500 or more. Gifts will be listed in the Annual Report according to the following gift categories:

  • Holy Child Society: $25,000 and above
  • Cornelia Connelly Society: $10,000 to $24,999
  • Scholars’ Society: $5,000 to $9,999
  • Willow Society: $2,500 to $4,999
  • Head of School Society: $1,500 to $2,499
  • Blue and Gold Society: $500 to $1,499
  • Patrons’ Society: $100 to $499
  • Friends of Holy Child: $1 to $99

With matching gifts you can sometimes double or even triple your gift! Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. To find out if your company (or your spouse’s company) has a matching gift policy, please enter the employer’s name below.
