Goals and Beliefs

The Schools of the Holy Child Jesus in the United States, members of a national network and international community of Holy Child Schools, offer an education that has a distinctive spirit.

The following Goals have been developed collaboratively by Holy Child educators. They are principles by which we teach children and, in doing so, perpetuate our tradition.

See more information on our Mission Effectiveness process here.

Goal 1 To foster a faith commitment that engenders a joyous, personal response to God in the challenges of the world

Goal 2 To deepen an understanding of Christian community.

Goal 3 To provide an intellectually challenging and creative program of study that fosters academic excellence.

Goal 4 To work for Christian principles of justice, peace, and compassion in every facet of life.

Goal 5 To create a learning climate based on trust and reverence for the dignity and uniqueness of each person.

Goal 6 To further the integral human development of all who participate in the life of the school.

Goal 7 To plan for the development of Holy Child education in each school.

The trustees, administrators, faculty and staff commit themselves to educate by these principles and to lead our students to embrace these values for themselves.

Core Beliefs

Individuality. The Holy Child mission is furthered when each
teacher educates each student as an individual, recognizing and
developing her unique talents, skills, personality and learning
strengths.

Community. All the individuals at Holy Child constitute a collective
whole, dedicated to teamwork and the common good.

Diversity. We continually strive to provide the opportunity for a
Holy Child education to a diverse group of young women while
creating curricula and programs that embrace the multicultural and
economic reality of our community, society and world.

Environment. Learning occurs best in a safe, secure and stimulating
environment.

Lifelong learning. The success of a Holy Child education is measured
over time as each student dedicates herself to being a lifelong
learner, an active citizen and a positive contributor to society
