Our acceptance video
Our students are a diverse yet close-knit community that reflects the cosmopolitan nature of the Washington, D.C. area. This diversity infuses the student body with an enthusiasm and curiosity that extends far beyond the classroom.
At Holy Child, our students’ energies and interests find many exciting outlets. These events and activities develop leadership skills, cultivate special interests, give back to the broader community and forge lifelong friendships.
The School’s advisory program builds trusting relationships between students and teachers. Faculty advisors serve as a watchful eye, attentive ear and compassionate shoulder to all of our students. A licensed Social Worker provides counseling services which include individual and group processing of social and emotional aspects of adolescence.
Extracurricular Activities Student life extends beyond the usual academic and special interest clubs to help form the whole Holy Child experience. In addition to student council, the School’s newspaper, The Willow, and yearbook, The Onyx, and Operation Smile, a club that works year round to raise money for operations for children in underserved parts of the world. Holy Child traditions like Blue and Gold Games, Spirit Week, Mass of the Holy Spirit, Fine Arts Month, Foreign Language Week, the Sophomore Mixer and Holly Ball punctuate each year with excitement.
