 | | | UPPER SCHOOL NEWS * MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS * ATHLETICS
Happy first day of school to all! Now that everyone is "oriented," it's time to get down to the business of learning. Hopefully, your daughters told you all about the first "homeroom in the gym" and all her exciting classes, teachers, and syllabi, not to mention the fabulous "boot camp" welcome from the Class of 2012! We'll be here each Wednesday to fill you in on upcoming events, reports on our students/faculty/staff, fundraisers, tag days, and all the news you need to know. In short, the "Happenings" of the school. Feel free to send in your news (with pictures, of course) and your suggestions of what else we can do to give you the inside scoop.
This is the year of "Mission Effectiveness."
You'll be hearing those words a lot over the next several months. For now, just remember that we strive daily to work on our seven goals: Faith ~ Community ~ Challenging Creative Curriculum ~ Justice, Peace & Compassion ~ Dignity ~ Fulfillment ~ Future | | | |

| SINGERS TAKE NOTE | | | | | | All students interested in joining the Upper School Chorus should attend the organizational meeting this week on Thursday in the Music Room to hear plans for the year. Regular rehearsals will take place during J block on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Auditions for Upper School Chorus are not required but students should be able to carry a tune and have sense of pitch. Auditions will be held at a later date for the Connelly Camerata, a more advanced choral group limited to about 20 singers. Students auditioning for Camerata must be members of the Upper School Chorus. Please feel free to direct questions to Choral Director, Mrs. Ann Whiteley, awhiteley@holychild .org | | | |

 | | | | | HOLY CHILD NEEDS YOU!
Our volunteer forms came home, and still we don't have many signed up. Remember, there truly is something for everyone, whether you can give a little or a lot, want to use your talents at home or at school. Click HERE to sign up online!
Also, the TIGER SHOP is in dire need of assistance. Pick a day or several; it's just two short hours to be here, and you get to see the girls while you're here. Contact Mary Fairbanks, ltjkfair@comcast.net to select a convenient time.
