Happy All Souls' Day!
You should have received the print version of the parent/student directory by now. It was given to your daughter in homeroom (to save mailing costs), so look in her backpack if it hasn't reached you. As always, there is a downloadable version online; just click on the tab at left under Parents.

| Father-Daughter Service Project: WMSG | | | | | | Make a huge difference in the life of a young girl with our fall service project. We will be assisting the Washington Middle School for Girls in getting their expanded space ready and help with moving. This is our first Fathers Club service project and one that will have a visible impact on WMSG. You and your daughters will also be impressed at how the school provides a Catholic education in a safe, caring environment for at-risk girls in an underserved urban area. We are using a new sign-up site, www.SignUpGenius.com/go/wmsg; you can register for times there.
Phase I: SATURDAY, November 5 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. See details and Phase II under Read More.
Email Tom Serena if you have any questions, and/or if you can provide a truck for November 5 ( tomserena@yahoo.com).

This year's event is even bigger and better.

CROSS COUNTRY ISLs Holy Child Varsity Cross Country runners Aoife Magner, freshman, and Dorothy Hastings, sophomore, competed well through inclement weather along with poor course conditions in the ISL Cross Country Championships Saturday held at The Historic Agricultural Farm Park in Deerwood, Maryland. On a cold and snowy day, it was not the most ideal; however, these windy, wet conditions did not keep our Tigers from showing up to perform. Out of 88 runners competing in the seeded varsity race, Dorothy Hastings finished well in the pack, completing the muddy course 46th overall, running 3 miles in 25:25. Aoife Magner, returning from several days in a riding competition, followed closely with a tremendous effort placing 57th overall and running a time of 26 minutes and 21 seconds. We applaud our student athletes, who showed courage and toughness while representing Holy Child.-- Coach Dennis V. Coleman

TENNIS ISLs Varsity Tennis doubles partners Madison Glueckert (senior) and Ellie Womack (freshman) did Holy Child proud in the ISL tournament, winning their doubles match 10-7 at Bullis on Friday. They had a valiant effort on Monday, falling short by a score of 10-8. Senior Kathryn Dunne also made it past the first round, but played strong on Monday in a loss to a tough opponent. Good job, players!
